Rules

RankOutbid is a public advertising leaderboard. You pay to stand above everyone else. Rank is the money — nothing else.

Two competitions

  • Brands — companies, products, apps and online businesses, listed by website. Brands also compete inside a category (for example #1 Automotive).
  • Creators — individual profiles on X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, listed by profile URL or @handle. Creators also compete inside their platform (for example #1 TikTok).
  • Brands compete with brands. Creators compete with creators. The two boards never mix.

How ranking works

  • Bids are whole US dollars. New listings start at $10, raises at $1. Board maximum $999,999.
  • Every payment adds to your total. Your total decides your rank. Nothing is ever paid from zero twice.
  • Taking someone's rank requires your cumulative total to clear theirs by at least $5. Matching a total never displaces its holder: the earlier bid keeps the higher rank.
  • Already on the board? Enter the same website or profile again and you only ever pay the difference. Nobody else can take your rank by paying your difference; a rival must beat your full total.
  • Today's board ranks what was spent in the last 24 hours. Each payment counts there for 24 hours from confirmation, then drops off. The same payment also counts on the all-time board forever.
  • Ranks move only when a payment is confirmed server-side. Never before.

What you can list

  • Brands: a product or company website. Creators: a profile you own or are authorized to promote on X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn.
  • Query parameters are stripped; affiliate and tracking URLs won't survive.
  • Link shorteners are resolved to their real destination or rejected.
  • Chat and invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and similar) are not allowed.
  • Adult content, scams, malware, phishing and illegal offers are not allowed and are removed without refund.
  • App Store, Play Store and GitHub links are keyed by their full path, so different apps never share a bid.

The honest print

  • Every position is paid advertising, determined solely by cumulative contributions. Listings are not endorsements, editorial rankings, or identity verification.
  • Your total is not a wallet. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred or spent elsewhere; it is money already paid for advertising exposure.
  • Payments are final and non-refundable. A confirmed payment is what claims a rank.
  • Anyone can outrank you at any time by paying more. No rank is guaranteed for any duration.
  • You pay for public ranking, visibility and measured clicks — not for guaranteed traffic, customers or results.
  • This is a business service. By paying you confirm you act for business purposes and are authorized to list the destination.
  • Outbound listing links carry rel="sponsored". We sell attention, not SEO.
